    Core Roll

    Roll 1d20 + Skill vs Difficulty. Advantage = roll 2 keep best; Disadvantage = keep worst.

    Ember Dice

    Roll 6 Ember Dice with every Significant Action. Matching symbols create patterns: Forged (benefit), Conflicted (Light Scar), Blazing (Deep Scar), or Soulfire (Shatter Scar).

    Scars

    Every major choice can leave a Scar. Scars are permanent. They reduce your Soul Reservoir and shape who you become. Healed Scars become Brightmarks.

    Advance through story moments, not XP. Milestones unlock new Tiers (1-7). No grinding. Your choices shape your growth.
