Fan Content Policy

Thank you for being here. Every view, comment, review and share is how a small independent studio gets found, and we don't take a single one for granted.

This page explains how the UNWRITTEN characters and world can and can't be used. We'd rather be clear up front than have anyone put hours into something we'd have to ask them to take down.

In our world, UNWRITTEN is a real band

Selene, Nysera, Talia and Mirael are not roles, and nobody plays them. They are the band. Everything we make is built on that, which is why the characters, their stories and their world stay entirely in-house.

You're welcome to

  • Watch, share and link to our official videos, music and posts.
  • Review the books, the music or the videos, anywhere, honestly.
  • Make reaction, review or commentary videos about our official releases, using short excerpts and linking back to the original.
  • Talk theories, canon and favourite moments in our comments and community spaces.
  • Tag us. We read more than you'd think.

Not permitted without written permission from Soul Forged Studios LLC

  • Tributes, adaptations, fan films or fan videos featuring the UNWRITTEN characters or world.
  • Recasting the characters with real or fictional actors, or presenting them as roles that someone plays.
  • AI-generated images, video, music or voices of the characters, including face swaps and voice clones.
  • Publicly shared fan fiction, fan art or new stories set in the UNWRITTEN world.
  • Merchandise, or any commercial use of the names, likenesses, logos or artwork.
  • Re-uploading our videos or music, in full or in part, beyond short excerpts used for commentary.
  • Using the characters or the UNWRITTEN name to promote another project.
  • Training AI models on our books, lyrics, videos or artwork.

Manuscripts and files

We don't share manuscripts, ebook files or production files with anyone, for any reason. The answer is always no, and it's never personal.

What counts as canon

Only the published novels and official Soul Forged Studios releases are canon. Nothing made outside the studio is, and we won't treat it as such.

Collaborations

Official collaborations happen by invitation and are always agreed in writing. If you have an idea, contact us before you make anything.

If something crosses the line

We'll ask for it to be removed first. If that doesn't work, we'll use the platform's copyright tools. We'd much rather never get there.
