The end of a chapter. The beginning of a new one.

About This Premiere

One Continuous Work

UNWRITTEN: Broken Moon is the largest single piece Soul Forged Studios has ever created — a feature-length chapter of the UNWRITTEN saga where the music, the story, and the visuals become one continuous work. It is a story about grief, sacrifice, and a love that refuses to end even when the world does.

It is told across three songs, each carrying a different movement of the story.

The Story

Under a Broken Moon

The band is pulled into the fold — the living world inside the UNWRITTEN universe — during a private performance with no audience. The audience has always been their anchor, the invisible tether that lets them return to the present after every show. With no crowd to hold the line, they are stranded. Even Talia, the Witness, who normally tethers them to the audience, goes under this time, because there is no audience left to anchor to.

What follows is a fight to survive and find a way home through a world that is dying — freezing from the absence of its light, its sky breaking apart, its moon shattered. They search the dead cities they once called home and find only ruins. They learn the way back is sealed. The storm closes in. The moon vanishes.

In the real world, alone in the warehouse where their bodies have collapsed, one man remains: Adger — the only living presence who was there when the fold took them, and the one who loves them. He tries everything to bring them back, and everything fails, because the only thing that can save them is the one thing he has not yet realized he must do.

The villain Vessa crushed the heart, the vessel in which their divided love could one day be made whole again. With that vessel destroyed, the love that could heal them has nowhere to live. So Adger makes his choice. He writes himself into the world he created — to become the new vessel, the anchor that holds the door open from the inside, so they can climb out.

The cost is built into the act. The one who holds the door does not come back through it.

He gets it right — carefully, with love and not fear. He says his quiet goodbye to each of them. He commits. And as the four of them wake, Nysera opens her eyes just in time to watch him turn to ash and be carried away by time itself. She rises, reads his final words, and lifts his journal to her chest. The author is gone. The character inherits the pen.

Write what has been unwritten.

Broken Moon

The trap, the grief, and the dying world. The emotional centerpiece.

Why are we here again, under this lifeless sky, the damned and the fallen lie, the veil rides the soul, and we find ourselves back under this broken moon. Same mud, same war, same question with no answer anymore, we look up and it's still there. Damn you! We are the ones the world forgot, buried in a grave that time can't mark, fighting for a light that's already lost, and the only thing that's left is the broken moon. This broken moon... One carries the dead she couldn't save, one served a god that was already a grave, one carries the blade she'll never confess, one sees it all and can't close her eyes to rest. Same mud, same war, the same names we don't say anymore, we look up and it's still there. We are the ones the world forgot, buried in a grave that time can't mark, fighting for a light that's already lost, and the only thing that's left is this sad broken moon. Buried in shadows Buried in blood unshriven unwritten unabsolved This broken moon... We never asked to carry this, never asked to still be standing in the ash, the world burned down and salted every name, but we're still here, we're still here, and that cracked sky knows we're still here. damned. can you hear their screams... Scorched, black, and twisted.... We are the ones the world forgot, buried in a grave that time can't mark, still swinging at a dark we'll never win, and the only thing that's left, the only thing that's left, shhhhhh is us and this broken moon. This fucking broken moon. fuck Why are we here again. In this lifeless sky. Back under this broken moon. this sad sad broken moon.....

Lost in My Own World Again

The sacrifice. The author writes himself into his own world to save them.

I sit here with my fingers on the keys Writing love and loss and all the things I've seen Selene's voice is sharp inside my head While Nysera prays for all the tears I've shed Sometimes I forget which pain is real, The cosmic grief or what I really feel I'm lost in my own world again Where dragons weep for murdered love And Time itself refuses when The heartbreak's more than stars above But in these pages I can find The hope I'm searching for in life Lost in my own world again Where broken promises can heal I pour my fears into a thief's blue eyes My faith becomes a Paladin's disguise Every promise that I've had to break Lives in Kira's trust for Selene's sake And when the real world gets too heavy I escape to grey eternal twilight I'm lost in my own world again Where dragons weep for murdered love And Time itself refuses when The heartbreak's more than stars above But in these pages I can find The hope I'm searching for in life Lost in my own world again Where broken promises can heal They say I'm dreaming But I'm really remembering Every scar becomes a relic blade Every tear, an Embermark In the space between the words I find the pieces of my heart Sometimes I wonder if I've gone too deep Into the stories that I need to keep But when the world feels like it's falling down These characters don't let me drown Talia writes the truth I'm scared to say While Vessa shows the rage that leads astray I'm lost in my own world again Where love can literally restart time And broken souls can love again If they just learn to believe the rhyme In these pages I have found The faith to keep my feet on ground Lost in my own world again Where every ending can begin So let me stay here just a little more Where cosmic love can heal what came before In my own world In my own world Where I'm learning to believe That promises can still be real
His Final Words
The audience was always the anchor. No crowd, no way back. Only me. She crushed the heart. The vessel for their love is destroyed. The reunion has nowhere to live. An anchor holds from the inside. The one who holds the door doesn't come back through it. This is a promise that can't be broken.
Love needs a vessel. Let it be me.Write what has been unwritten.
