What It Costs to Forge a Video
Every UNWRITTEN video is human-written and AI-assisted — the story and lyrics come from a person; the visuals are rendered with AI tools. “AI” doesn’t mean free. No model renders more than about 15 seconds at a time, so a single five-minute video is stitched together from 20+ separate clips — and you generate far more than you keep. To hold the line on cost, everything renders at 720p and is upscaled in CapCut rather than paying for higher-resolution generation.
All-in: roughly $380 to $610 a video.
And that’s before a single human hour — the writing, the lyrics, the edit, the story. June alone was nine videos. The render bill is real, the tools are real, and the hours behind them never show up on any invoice.
None of this is to complain — it’s to show the work. Human-written. AI-assisted. Soul-forged. Every frame is paid for, in real cost and real hours.
