How the War Works
Five weeks. Single elimination. A metal/rock animated music-video tournament. Every round is a brand-new animated music video, premiered and voted on. The bracket cuts the field roughly in half each round until one act is left standing.
Sign Up
Metal/rock AI creators who make animated music videos and have a video channel (YouTube or similar) enter here. Signups close August 29 and the field is seeded into a bracket.
Premiere
Each Saturday, every act premieres a brand-new, unreleased animated music video on their own channel. The whole field drops at once.
Vote
Fans watch both tracks side by side and vote through an independent voting system. One verified vote per person, per matchup.
Advance
Results land Monday. Winners move on and write the next track; the rest are out. Repeat until the last two standing.
Season One Timeline
Signups run now through late August. The war itself runs every weekend through early October.
The Weekly Cycle
Saturday: every remaining act premieres a new, unreleased animated music video (public, on their own video channel).
Saturday–Sunday — voting is open. Closes Sunday 11:59 PM (EEST / Greece).
Monday — results in. Winners advance; eliminated acts are notified so no one wastes a week on a round they're out of.
What You're Signing Up For
- Who can enter: metal / rock AI creators who make animated music videos, with an active video channel (e.g. YouTube) at the time of entry. This is an animated music-video contest. A streaming-audio presence (Spotify/SoundCloud) does not qualify, and neither does a static image over audio (a “static”). You must be able to premiere an original animated music video. No animated-video channel, no entry.
- AI disclosure is mandatory. This is an AI-creator contest — entrants confirm their work is AI-assisted and disclose AI use as required on their uploads.
- A new, unreleased animated music video every round. Each round you advance to needs a brand-new original song and animated video, never released or premiered before battle day, up to five across the tournament.
- Five minutes maximum per animated music video. Rock or metal only, anywhere on the spectrum from hard rock to the heaviest metal. Pop, hip-hop, EDM, and other genres are not eligible.
- Premiere on your own channel. Your animated music video goes live publicly on your own video channel on battle Saturday. Your views, your subscribers, your monetization, all yours.
- Voting is run by an independent third party (see below), on the official Forge Wars voting page only. One verified vote per person, per matchup, with results shown publicly.
- No buy-ins. No entry fee. No monetary prize. This is purely for fun and recognition.
- The prize: bragging rights and the permanent title of the first-ever Forge Wars Champion — held until the next contest.
- Deadlines: a late or missing track is a forfeit for that round. Signups close Saturday, August 29, 2026.
How Voting Works
Soul Forged Studios does not count the votes.
To keep Forge Wars fair and above suspicion, voting is run entirely through an independent, third-party voting system — not by Soul Forged Studios. We host the arena; the outside platform tallies the vote.
That system verifies one vote per person per matchup and displays results publicly, so everyone watches the same live count. The specific voting platform will be named here before Round 1.
Voting happens only on the official Forge Wars voting page. Soul Forged Studios reserves the right to void clearly fraudulent or suspicious voting activity.
Rights & Ownership
- You keep full ownership of your music and videos. Soul Forged Studios claims no rights to your work.
- Forge Wars only links to and embeds the video that lives on your own channel. We host nothing and retain no copies of your material.
- Your video stays monetized on your channel the entire time — all views and revenue are yours.
- When the contest ends, every matchup link is removed from the Forge Wars page except the Champion's, which stays up as the trophy — the permanent mark of the first Forge Wars Champion.
- By entering, you grant Soul Forged Studios permission only to link to and embed your submitted videos within Forge Wars content, for the duration of the event.
